00:00:00 --> 00:00:03 Today I'm joined by Mel Abbott, whose journey
00:00:03 --> 00:00:07 is nothing short of inspiring. At just 18 years
00:00:07 --> 00:00:12 old, a head injury triggered myelologic encephalitis,
00:00:12 --> 00:00:16 chronic fatigue syndrome. Doctors gave her no
00:00:16 --> 00:00:19 hope and told her it was incurable. Mel endured
00:00:19 --> 00:00:23 more than a decade of debilitating illness, yet
00:00:23 --> 00:00:26 even while unwell, she persevered with her studies.
00:00:27 --> 00:00:30 completing her Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
