Rodgers also provides coaching and guidance on personal branding, character, and leadership to individuals and organizations that want to achieve their personal and professional goals. He draws from his own experiences as an educator, a veteran, and a lifelong learner, as well as his certifications in principalship, generalist, and special education. He authored the book series "Success Is A Process, Not An Event," which shares insights and tips on education, character, and personal development. Prior to his current profession, Rodgers held several positions in various schools, such as special education teacher, general education science teacher, science instructional coach, academic instructional coach, administrative intern, and substitute assistant principal.
During his time in the US Army, Rodgers served as a mental health NCO, a role that is equivalent to a civilian counselor. As a parent to his oldest daughter, who has moderate to severe autism, he has firsthand experience of the unique challenges faced by families with special needs children. Rodgers believes that these challenges are often overlooked by educators and the public, which is why he is passionate about creating awareness and sharing his insights. His work is focused on addressing these overlooked challenges and advocating for a more inclusive and understanding education system.
