I’ve got a question for all of you. How is morale at work do you seem to be thriving or do you feel as though there is more work to do?
According to Gallup’s State of the Global Workplace Report, roughly 7 in 10 employees are struggling or suffering rather than thriving in their overall lives. This is a startling statistic, and while not necessarily surprising given the state of the world during the Covid-19 era, it is nevertheless a serious wake-up call. Prioritizing the wellbeing of people is no longer a nice-to-have goal, it is now a significant differentiating factor of high performing leaders and organizations. As the Gallup report so eloquently stated, “suffering destroys human spirit that drives innovation”, and “the most successful organizations in the future will not only generate profits, but also will generate thriving employees who are able capable of weathering crises.”
