Discover how non-invasive skin technologies like electroporation, 3D radiofrequency, and bio-energetics rebuild collagen and skin health without needles or trauma.
Can you achieve firm, radiant, and youthful skin without a syringe or a scalpel? In this episode, Lisa Harris—founder of Lisa Harris Skin Science and a bio-energetic skin pioneer with over three decades of clinical experience—challenges mainstream aesthetic trends to reveal the physics and biology of non-invasive skin regeneration.
Bridging corporate R&D at giants like Johnson & Johnson and RoC Skincare with holistic disciplines like kinesiology, aromatherapy, and sports therapy, Lisa shares why skin is an internal messenger rather than an isolated surface. She breaks down the hidden vascular and lymphatic costs of facial injectables and explains how energy-based modalities can naturally restore cellular voltage, microcirculation, and structural firmness.
Key Topics Covered
The Mechanics of Needle-Free Aesthetics: How electroporation, cold laser, 3D-layer radiofrequency, and microcurrent stimulate cell signalling without thermal or physical barrier trauma.
The Hidden Impact of Injectables: Why neurotoxins and synthetic fillers can alter facial lymphatic drainage, microcirculation, and energetic flow.
Integrative Diagnostic Mapping: Using facial reflexology, acupuncture meridians, and kinesiology stress-mapping to decode skin feedback from emotional burnout.
Photobiomodulation & Actives: The real optics of LED phototherapy, damp-skin prep myths, and how to stabilize Vitamin C against rapid oxidation.
Internal Aging Drivers: How chronic cortisol, gut dysbiosis, and glycation impair collagen synthesis long before topical creams or powders can help.

00:00:23 --> 00:00:32 your host, Ida Fanelli. Today, we're challenging
00:00:32 --> 00:00:35 the idea that achieving firm, radiant, and youthful
00:00:35 --> 00:00:38 skin requires a syringe or a scalpel. Joining
00:00:38 --> 00:00:42 us is Lisa Harris, founder of Lisa Harris Skin
00:00:42 --> 00:00:46 Science, a bioenergetic skin expert and non -toxic
00:00:46 --> 00:00:50 beauty pioneer with over three decades of clinical
00:00:50 --> 00:00:53 experience. Lisa's career bridges both worlds
00:00:53 --> 00:00:56 from deep clinical research with global skincare
00:00:56 --> 00:01:00 giants like Johnson & Johnson and Rock Skincare
00:01:00 --> 00:01:04 to pioneering advanced needle -free treatments
00:01:04 --> 00:01:08 using technologies like electroporation, microcurrent
00:01:08 --> 00:01:14 3D radiofrequency, and LED phototherapy. Her
00:01:14 --> 00:01:16 roots began as a beauty and holistic therapist
00:01:16 --> 00:01:20 in the UK, mastering disciplines like aromatherapy,
00:01:20 --> 00:01:24 kinesiology, reflexology, sports therapy, and
00:01:24 --> 00:01:28 laser technology. Relocating to Canada reinforced
00:01:28 --> 00:01:31 her focus on functional plant -based ingredients
00:01:31 --> 00:01:35 and energetic compounds. anchoring an integrative
00:01:35 --> 00:01:38 philosophy that views skin not as an isolated
00:01:38 --> 00:01:41 surface but as a reflection of internal health
00:01:41 --> 00:01:45 emotion and energetic balance above all lisa
00:01:45 --> 00:01:48 shares our core belief: your skin is not the problem
00:01:48 --> 00:01:52 it's the messenger today lisa unpacks the physics
00:01:52 --> 00:01:55 and biologies of non -invasive aesthetics how
00:01:55 --> 00:01:59 cellular vibration electroporation and lymphatic
00:01:59 --> 00:02:02 flow actually drive skin regeneration from the
00:02:02 --> 00:02:05 inside out If you want the real science behind
00:02:05 --> 00:02:08 needle -free skin technology, stick around. You're
00:02:08 --> 00:02:11 going to love this conversation. Welcome, Lisa.
00:02:12 --> 00:02:14 Welcome. Thank you for having me. What a wonderful
00:02:14 --> 00:02:19 introduction. Well, you deserve it. Thank you.
00:02:21 --> 00:02:24 Lisa, you began your career in the UK trained
00:02:24 --> 00:02:27 across sports therapy, kinesiology, reflexology,
00:02:28 --> 00:02:31 aromatherapy, medical aesthetics, and laser technology.
00:02:31 --> 00:02:34 How did this holistic foundation anchor your
00:02:34 --> 00:02:37 view that skin must be treated as a reflection
00:02:37 --> 00:02:40 of internal health, emotion, and energy rather
00:02:40 --> 00:02:45 than a quick cosmetic fix? Yes, I mean, a brilliant
00:02:45 --> 00:02:50 question. Basically, using biotechnology and
00:02:50 --> 00:02:54 using the holistic aspect made me realize, actually,
00:02:54 --> 00:02:57 what you just said. We don't treat the skin per
00:02:57 --> 00:03:00 se, just looking on the surface, because skin
00:03:00 --> 00:03:04 is an ecosystem. So this is really important.
00:03:04 --> 00:03:09 Skin is emotional, it's spiritual. It also tells
00:03:09 --> 00:03:12 me lots of different messages. When I look
00:03:12 --> 00:03:14 at the top of the skin or just talking to someone,
00:03:14 --> 00:03:17 I can see something else is going, you know,
00:03:17 --> 00:03:20 beyond the surface and that's inside. So a lot
00:03:20 --> 00:03:23 of skin conditions I realized were connected
00:03:23 --> 00:03:27 to sort of like mindset as well and also the
00:03:27 --> 00:03:30 nervous system. And this is where aromatherapy,
00:03:30 --> 00:03:35 kinesiology, reflexology. connected me to realize
00:03:35 --> 00:03:37 actually we just don't look at the surface skin,
00:03:37 --> 00:03:41 we actually look inside. You spent time living
00:03:41 --> 00:03:44 and working in Canada before returning to the
00:03:44 --> 00:03:47 UK to open your flagship clinic in Weybridge,
00:03:47 --> 00:03:50 Surrey. How did your time in Canada shape your
00:03:50 --> 00:03:53 perspective on functional plant -based ingredients,
00:03:53 --> 00:03:58 clean formulations and energetic compounds? I
00:03:58 --> 00:04:01 left, so I moved to Vancouver and that opened
00:04:02 --> 00:04:04 The other side, more of the holistic side, working
00:04:04 --> 00:04:10 in top spas. And I realized that all the wonderful
00:04:10 --> 00:04:14 botanicals, all the ingredients, how they actually
00:04:14 --> 00:04:17 work and benefit, working with natural treatments.
00:04:18 --> 00:04:20 So where I was using a lot of biotechnology,
00:04:20 --> 00:04:23 I think Canada actually taught me more of the
00:04:23 --> 00:04:27 ingredients and the delivery system that were
00:04:27 --> 00:04:29 actually in the products. I mean, I worked with...
00:04:30 --> 00:04:36 at least 200 different brands because the marketing
00:04:36 --> 00:04:40 in Canada is all about the sales but I was more
00:04:40 --> 00:04:43 interested in what is your philosophy inside
00:04:43 --> 00:04:47 this product and I worked with so many wonderful
00:04:47 --> 00:04:51 products and that enabled me then to use different
00:04:51 --> 00:04:56 types of plant -based botanicals green energy
00:04:56 --> 00:05:00 if you like peptides and build it into my philosophy
00:05:00 --> 00:05:05 of facilitating skin therapies using biotechnology
00:05:05 --> 00:05:08 and using botanicals what one one doesn't work
00:05:08 --> 00:05:11 without the other they're not in isolation so
00:05:11 --> 00:05:15 we have to use what i believe they pair
00:05:15 --> 00:05:19 together Before founding your brand, you work
00:05:19 --> 00:05:21 with global giants like Johnson & Johnson and
00:05:21 --> 00:05:24 Rock Skin Care. Having seen inside corporate
00:05:24 --> 00:05:27 formulation labs, what did that experience teach
00:05:27 --> 00:05:30 you about ingredient science and where do mainstream
00:05:30 --> 00:05:32 commercial products fall short for consumers?
00:05:34 --> 00:05:37 This is a great question. With Johnson & Johnson,
00:05:37 --> 00:05:41 all I did was basically help them to... in front
00:05:41 --> 00:05:43 of the audience or when i was doing presentations
00:05:43 --> 00:05:48 was to teach and educate the importance of the
00:05:48 --> 00:05:51 delivery system and the research and the development
00:05:51 --> 00:05:55 behind that so they've got massive as you can
00:05:55 --> 00:05:58 imagine labs there and the importance of the
00:05:58 --> 00:06:00 ingredients and the molecules that are actually
00:06:00 --> 00:06:03 used inside those products but it's not about
00:06:04 --> 00:06:06 It's not about putting lots and lots of different
00:06:06 --> 00:06:09 products onto the skin. It's about using the
00:06:09 --> 00:06:12 right ingredients. This is where I came in. It
00:06:12 --> 00:06:14 was just a brief time with Johnson & Johnson
00:06:14 --> 00:06:19 and Rock to use the appropriate products for
00:06:19 --> 00:06:22 your skin concerns. Also, they're quite big on
00:06:22 --> 00:06:24 marketing. So I learned quite a bit about marketing
00:06:24 --> 00:06:27 with Johnson & Johnson and Rock. And I think
00:06:27 --> 00:06:31 that helped me as well within my business. Definitely.
00:06:32 --> 00:06:35 After over a decade across clinical practice
00:06:35 --> 00:06:38 and corporate research, what was the pivot catalyst
00:06:38 --> 00:06:41 that led you to step away from the corporate
00:06:41 --> 00:06:45 world to launch Lisa Harris Skin Science over
00:06:45 --> 00:06:49 16 years ago? Yeah, so I would phrase that because
00:06:49 --> 00:06:51 when I was working with Johnson & Johnson, by
00:06:51 --> 00:06:54 the way, in Brock, I was still doing my professional
00:06:54 --> 00:06:57 side of beauty therapy and biotechnology. But
00:06:57 --> 00:07:01 that was just another sort of like... another
00:07:01 --> 00:07:03 pathway for me to go down and just learn how
00:07:03 --> 00:07:07 to present alongside Rock and Johnson & Johnson
00:07:07 --> 00:07:14 but my heart will always be in delivering me
00:07:14 --> 00:07:18 as a professional helping other people to understand
00:07:18 --> 00:07:21 how i can facilitate and improve skin by the
00:07:21 --> 00:07:23 inside out i mean i keep saying that all the
00:07:23 --> 00:07:27 time but it's it's with the facilitators and
00:07:27 --> 00:07:31 when you understand technology the way how to
00:07:31 --> 00:07:34 apply and when not to apply it i think that's
00:07:34 --> 00:07:36 really important so my hand i just love using
00:07:36 --> 00:07:39 my hands i still do facials today i still do
00:07:39 --> 00:07:43 body treatments I'm still learning and I prefer
00:07:43 --> 00:07:47 to be in my own setting because I realize that
00:07:47 --> 00:07:49 treatments of the future are more personalized.
00:07:49 --> 00:07:51 I've always done personalized treatments, but
00:07:51 --> 00:07:53 I actually believe this is the way forward, more
00:07:53 --> 00:07:58 in regenerative treatments. You advocate stepping
00:07:58 --> 00:08:02 away from injectables. Why is even controlled
00:08:02 --> 00:08:05 microtrauma counterproductive for cell signaling
00:08:05 --> 00:08:08 in the long run? What was the turning point in
00:08:08 --> 00:08:11 your clinical practice when you realized that
00:08:11 --> 00:08:14 injuring or inflaming the skin barrier wasn't
00:08:14 --> 00:08:17 necessary for long -term transformation? Yeah,
00:08:17 --> 00:08:21 so there are a number of things I do here. So
00:08:21 --> 00:08:26 there is a point where I will use lasers. So
00:08:26 --> 00:08:29 I use sort of like a non -ablative laser. So
00:08:29 --> 00:08:33 it's not too aggressive. Lasers are amazing in,
00:08:33 --> 00:08:36 if applied correctly by the way, remodeling the
00:08:36 --> 00:08:40 whole tissue. This can actually help with pigmentation
00:08:40 --> 00:08:45 or skin rejuvenation. I don't know if you heard
00:08:45 --> 00:08:48 of a technology called electroporation. And electroporation
00:08:48 --> 00:08:53 is the non -needle device. And this is amazing
00:08:53 --> 00:08:58 for practitioners to deliver sort of like ingredients
00:08:58 --> 00:09:00 or encapsulations into the actual cell itself
00:09:00 --> 00:09:05 without using the needle. As you know, needles
00:09:05 --> 00:09:09 can cause too much inflammation, can also push
00:09:09 --> 00:09:12 the ingredients back out of the skin, also cause
00:09:12 --> 00:09:16 nerve damage. And it can cause infections. So
00:09:16 --> 00:09:19 we have amazing technology now that we actually
00:09:19 --> 00:09:24 know the scientists, Silicio, and we have the
00:09:24 --> 00:09:28 most amazing electroporation. And the results
00:09:28 --> 00:09:30 are unbelievable because when you don't get any
00:09:30 --> 00:09:34 side effects. Two, it's safe, it's non -toxic,
00:09:34 --> 00:09:38 and we can actually target either the upper layers
00:09:38 --> 00:09:41 of the skin or deeper in the ECM, which is then
00:09:41 --> 00:09:44 we can sort of like remodel and structure collagen
00:09:44 --> 00:09:49 from within and out without any signs of redness,
00:09:49 --> 00:09:52 bleeding, any bruising, much safer and more pleasant
00:09:52 --> 00:09:57 for the clients. That's wonderful. Yeah. Well,
00:09:57 --> 00:10:00 the body is electrical. Yes, absolutely. You're
00:10:00 --> 00:10:03 right, because the electrical, we've got a bioelectrical
00:10:03 --> 00:10:07 field. So everything I do is biological. So I
00:10:07 --> 00:10:11 like to work with biology. So all the technology
00:10:11 --> 00:10:15 I actually use are biological pathways. So I
00:10:15 --> 00:10:18 will use radio frequency, which is a heating
00:10:18 --> 00:10:22 mechanism. Or I will use, as you're a light therapist
00:10:22 --> 00:10:26 yourself, we can use LED or low light therapy.
00:10:29 --> 00:10:31 or maybe different laser treatments, not too
00:10:31 --> 00:10:34 aggressive. And we can use EMS. All these have
00:10:34 --> 00:10:38 different signals when applied correctly to the
00:10:38 --> 00:10:41 skin. And then they basically yourselves just
00:10:41 --> 00:10:43 pick up these different signals to carry out
00:10:43 --> 00:10:48 its job. You often talk about how injectables
00:10:48 --> 00:10:52 interfere with natural biocircuitry. How do neurotoxins
00:10:52 --> 00:10:56 like Botox and synthetic fillers and microcirculation,
00:10:56 --> 00:10:59 lymphatic drainage and energetic flow through
00:10:59 --> 00:11:04 the face? So a long time ago when it was in the
00:11:04 --> 00:11:07 90s, Botox was introduced. I did try it because
00:11:07 --> 00:11:11 you do. And later on, I realized that I only
00:11:11 --> 00:11:15 used it once or twice. I like to have movement
00:11:15 --> 00:11:20 in my face. And I've been taught to improve movement,
00:11:20 --> 00:11:24 muscle tone, skin, improve the lymphatic system.
00:11:25 --> 00:11:27 And the lymphatic system is the most important
00:11:27 --> 00:11:30 thing in the body. I call it the river of life
00:11:30 --> 00:11:34 because that's obviously providing oxygen and
00:11:34 --> 00:11:37 it's improving circulation. And it carries all
00:11:37 --> 00:11:40 nutrients around the body. It's so important.
00:11:40 --> 00:11:44 So it didn't make my opinion. To put Botox into
00:11:44 --> 00:11:48 the body, it is a toxin. Yes, it's pure. Obviously,
00:11:48 --> 00:11:50 there's different types of Botox. There's four
00:11:50 --> 00:11:54 different types of Botox. And I don't want to
00:11:54 --> 00:11:56 paralyze the muscle because I believe that you're
00:11:56 --> 00:12:00 blocking certain vital pathways that we need
00:12:00 --> 00:12:04 to express. We need to use our muscle. And I
00:12:04 --> 00:12:07 just offer the alternative. So I think sometimes
00:12:07 --> 00:12:09 when ladies come in, the first thing they say,
00:12:09 --> 00:12:12 do you offer Botox? Well, no, I think there should
00:12:12 --> 00:12:14 be another, there's something else behind that.
00:12:14 --> 00:12:19 I think clients, when they're looking to have
00:12:19 --> 00:12:22 some kind of change or brighten or revitalize
00:12:22 --> 00:12:23 their skin, it's because maybe they're looking
00:12:23 --> 00:12:28 tired and Botox necessary doesn't make you, it
00:12:28 --> 00:12:33 doesn't brighten the skin. Well, Well, it impairs
00:12:33 --> 00:12:36 muscle movement and they say even long term,
00:12:36 --> 00:12:38 it causes the muscles to deteriorate after a
00:12:38 --> 00:12:41 while, right? Yeah. And now we'll take time for
00:12:41 --> 00:12:46 a commercial break. Welcome back. I use different
00:12:46 --> 00:12:50 technologies for the reason being is that I think
00:12:50 --> 00:12:51 it's important that everybody should understand
00:12:51 --> 00:12:55 that we have to work with muscle and fascia.
00:12:55 --> 00:12:58 We need to work with the whole system. It's not
00:12:58 --> 00:13:01 just about what we're doing here superficially.
00:13:01 --> 00:13:05 I like to work with muscle EMS, so basically
00:13:05 --> 00:13:07 electrical muscle stimulation, or you've got
00:13:07 --> 00:13:09 the microcurrents. I think they're amazing at
00:13:09 --> 00:13:12 energizing the muscle. Don't forget muscles are
00:13:12 --> 00:13:16 scaffolding. It keeps the face up. So when you
00:13:16 --> 00:13:19 come in for a treatment here, I will always start
00:13:19 --> 00:13:23 with maybe radiofrequency and incorporate electrical
00:13:23 --> 00:13:26 muscle stimulation. or mesotherapy the last thing
00:13:26 --> 00:13:31 so we need to do it in fragments a cascade that's
00:13:31 --> 00:13:33 how the skin works we need to work at cellular
00:13:33 --> 00:13:38 level out in an industry where invasive procedures
00:13:38 --> 00:13:42 are heavily normalized how do you counsel clients
00:13:42 --> 00:13:45 who feel pressured towards injectables but are
00:13:45 --> 00:13:47 searching for a calmer non -toxic alternative
00:13:47 --> 00:13:51 that preserves their natural features so yeah
00:13:51 --> 00:13:53 i don't like to change i mean i'm quite transparent
00:13:53 --> 00:13:58 so when the client sits down i think it's educating
00:13:58 --> 00:14:03 i think it's up to us to you know to to educate
00:14:03 --> 00:14:06 and not dictate to them so when they actually
00:14:06 --> 00:14:09 come in i actually sit down and talk i talk about
00:14:09 --> 00:14:13 their lifestyle i talk everything first before
00:14:13 --> 00:14:16 i go ahead and say this is what i recommend because
00:14:17 --> 00:14:20 Everybody is different. And if one is so stressed,
00:14:21 --> 00:14:23 I like to deal with that first because that can
00:14:23 --> 00:14:27 slow down healing when I'm trying to heal the
00:14:27 --> 00:14:30 skin. Does that make sense to you? So it's really
00:14:30 --> 00:14:33 important. And from there, we can talk about
00:14:33 --> 00:14:35 whether coming in for Botox. Well, they wouldn't
00:14:35 --> 00:14:39 book in because I don't do Botox. So I try to
00:14:39 --> 00:14:42 offer them the alternative. And when you say,
00:14:42 --> 00:14:46 how about let's freshen up the skin this way.
00:14:46 --> 00:14:50 In layman terms, if I say radiofrequency can
00:14:50 --> 00:14:53 remodel your skin tissue and then prolificate
00:14:53 --> 00:14:55 more collagen, and then we can add in stuff like
00:14:55 --> 00:14:58 brightening peptides and all these different
00:14:58 --> 00:15:00 kinds of technologies, brighten the skin to give
00:15:00 --> 00:15:03 you more of a youthful look. That's the avenue
00:15:03 --> 00:15:06 I tend to go down. And they kind of understand
00:15:06 --> 00:15:10 that. I don't think a lot of people, by the way,
00:15:10 --> 00:15:14 when they come in, because I actually coach people
00:15:14 --> 00:15:16 as well to come off Botox because they do not
00:15:16 --> 00:15:19 want the substance going into their body. So
00:15:19 --> 00:15:22 this is brilliant for me so I can actually prove
00:15:22 --> 00:15:27 there are other alternatives just to feel fresh
00:15:27 --> 00:15:30 and look a bit more youthful in a natural way.
00:15:32 --> 00:15:35 Acupuncturists map meridians, reflexologists
00:15:35 --> 00:15:38 map pressure points, and modern clinicians track
00:15:38 --> 00:15:41 lymphatic channels. When a client experiencing
00:15:41 --> 00:15:44 deep emotional stress or burnout enters your
00:15:44 --> 00:15:47 Weybridge clinic, how do you practically integrate
00:15:47 --> 00:15:50 those diagnostic maps to read what their skin
00:15:50 --> 00:15:55 is communicating? A lot of people when they come
00:15:55 --> 00:15:59 in, then you can just tell by someone's face,
00:15:59 --> 00:16:02 their posture. And their stress levels, because
00:16:02 --> 00:16:04 you usually look a bit gray. You can look at
00:16:04 --> 00:16:07 the eyes as well. You can look at the skin. So
00:16:07 --> 00:16:11 that is something from within. Now, I can only
00:16:11 --> 00:16:14 do so much here. So facilitating my technology
00:16:14 --> 00:16:19 and holistic therapies will actually calm the
00:16:19 --> 00:16:25 nervous system down. I also will send my client
00:16:25 --> 00:16:27 to, like I say, an acupuncturist because I'm
00:16:27 --> 00:16:30 not qualified in that. and i also will send my
00:16:30 --> 00:16:34 clients to someone who will do scalar wave or
00:16:34 --> 00:16:38 homeopathy because that has that is a wonderful
00:16:38 --> 00:16:41 substance and a wonderful sort of like holistic
00:16:41 --> 00:16:44 remedy to calm the vagus system down because
00:16:44 --> 00:16:47 it's important that system is calm before actually
00:16:47 --> 00:16:50 going and doing treatments Does that make sense
00:16:50 --> 00:16:52 to you? Because I'm the facilitator of different
00:16:52 --> 00:16:54 energies. But when it comes to the emotional
00:16:54 --> 00:16:57 aspect, I usually will refer to somewhere else
00:16:57 --> 00:17:00 because you can't separate the skin from the
00:17:00 --> 00:17:04 person. It's really important that we actually
00:17:04 --> 00:17:08 treat the emotion. So that's me saying supplements,
00:17:09 --> 00:17:14 walking, movement, mindset, clean food. and then
00:17:14 --> 00:17:17 offer referrals to go somewhere else to treat
00:17:17 --> 00:17:19 that aspect because they go hand in hand you
00:17:19 --> 00:17:23 can't separate them and when you start the treatment
00:17:23 --> 00:17:27 process for instance when we've done the facial
00:17:27 --> 00:17:30 or body work when they see what's happening on
00:17:30 --> 00:17:33 the outside usually has a domino effect from
00:17:33 --> 00:17:36 the inside makes them feel it's the sweet spot
00:17:36 --> 00:17:39 you want you want them to feel good that is what
00:17:39 --> 00:17:43 i'm always aiming for is the confidence i'm always
00:17:43 --> 00:17:46 going for that confidence many clients attribute
00:17:46 --> 00:17:50 dullness or dark under eye circles strictly to
00:17:50 --> 00:17:53 surface pigment when it's often vascular how
00:17:53 --> 00:17:56 does emotional stress restrict microcirculation
00:17:56 --> 00:18:00 and starve cells of oxygen and how do you evaluate
00:18:00 --> 00:18:04 lymphatic flow during a consultation Yeah, dark
00:18:04 --> 00:18:07 circles are a big thing, but it's also hormones.
00:18:07 --> 00:18:11 It can be genetic, but stress absolutely is number
00:18:11 --> 00:18:15 one factor in discolouring of the skin, especially
00:18:15 --> 00:18:20 under eyes. It can be the liver as well. So obviously
00:18:20 --> 00:18:23 something is, when I address that, I will actually
00:18:23 --> 00:18:26 start once again on the inside and that's detoxification.
00:18:27 --> 00:18:31 So detoxification is a very simple thing. I will
00:18:31 --> 00:18:35 actually ask my clients to drink warm water with
00:18:35 --> 00:18:37 lemon in the morning or a little bit of bicarbonate
00:18:37 --> 00:18:41 soda. I think because you can't really treat
00:18:41 --> 00:18:43 dark circles from the outside, it has to come
00:18:43 --> 00:18:48 from within. Radiofrequency is very good because
00:18:48 --> 00:18:51 we're working with the lymphatic system. Radiofrequency
00:18:51 --> 00:18:54 helps to eliminate any toxins from that area
00:18:54 --> 00:18:58 and also is oxygenating. and also don't forget
00:18:58 --> 00:19:00 underneath the eyes is the thinnest part of the
00:19:00 --> 00:19:04 skin on the body so radiofrequency and mesotherapy
00:19:04 --> 00:19:07 or lasers I will actually go down that avenue
00:19:07 --> 00:19:13 just to thicken and remodel the collagen to regenerate
00:19:13 --> 00:19:15 the collagen production from underneath the eye
00:19:15 --> 00:19:18 areas and we you know there are polynucleotides
00:19:18 --> 00:19:23 there's exosomes genomes all kinds of different
00:19:23 --> 00:19:26 peptides can actually enable that brightness
00:19:26 --> 00:19:31 underneath the eye area as a pioneer in bioenergetic
00:19:31 --> 00:19:33 treatments could you share a case study from
00:19:33 --> 00:19:37 your practice where resolving an underlying emotional
00:19:37 --> 00:19:40 or energetic blockage was the breakthrough that
00:19:40 --> 00:19:43 cleared a chronic skin condition oh that's an
00:19:43 --> 00:19:48 excellent question um most clients actually have
00:19:48 --> 00:19:52 come across especially Congested skin. Congested
00:19:52 --> 00:19:57 skin is definitely emotional. This could be redness
00:19:57 --> 00:20:01 on the skin. This could be breakouts. And just
00:20:01 --> 00:20:07 receiving treatments for this would be your LED
00:20:07 --> 00:20:13 lights. It could be my electrophoration. Interesting.
00:20:14 --> 00:20:17 Emotional aspect. can trigger the stress in the
00:20:17 --> 00:20:20 body which produces more antigens then it puts
00:20:20 --> 00:20:23 things out of zinc if you like in the body and
00:20:23 --> 00:20:26 i will ask my clients to do some very basic things
00:20:26 --> 00:20:32 like i said movement homeopathy and and taking
00:20:32 --> 00:20:34 supplements and maybe they're just stressed in
00:20:34 --> 00:20:38 work so i will ask them to record what they do
00:20:38 --> 00:20:42 on a daily basis just in case they flare up in
00:20:42 --> 00:20:45 redness or more breakouts, it's important that
00:20:45 --> 00:20:48 they take a diary and record things themselves.
00:20:48 --> 00:20:54 So I'm only the facilitator. They are the healer
00:20:54 --> 00:20:57 themselves. So if I can give them just brief
00:20:57 --> 00:21:02 notes, some wisdom at home, so they can, you
00:21:02 --> 00:21:03 know, figure out what they're actually eating,
00:21:03 --> 00:21:06 if something's like triggering. Or it may be
00:21:06 --> 00:21:09 their work placement or it might be something
00:21:09 --> 00:21:11 from their childhood as well, something from
00:21:11 --> 00:21:15 the past. And I would say after about six months
00:21:15 --> 00:21:19 to one year, I've seen amazing results. The journey
00:21:19 --> 00:21:22 they've been on and recognising what's triggering
00:21:22 --> 00:21:26 and also what they've held inside. So I seem
00:21:26 --> 00:21:30 to be helping them recognise these emotional
00:21:30 --> 00:21:33 blockages because people just think it's all
00:21:33 --> 00:21:36 topical, but it's not. It's inside. But I'm not
00:21:36 --> 00:21:40 the only facilitator. They will go and have acupuncture
00:21:40 --> 00:21:41 or they're going to say homeopathies or some
00:21:41 --> 00:21:46 kind of healer. We can all work together because
00:21:46 --> 00:21:50 it's not just one fragment. We have to work with
00:21:50 --> 00:21:55 different modalities. And from there... They're
00:21:55 --> 00:21:58 a happier person, definitely. When you see your
00:21:58 --> 00:22:01 skin more clearer, they generally are feeling
00:22:01 --> 00:22:04 better within themselves. And the amount of times
00:22:04 --> 00:22:05 I've had people say, thank you very much, Lisa,
00:22:05 --> 00:22:08 for the tools. I give them tools, how to look
00:22:08 --> 00:22:12 after their skin, ingredients. I think that is
00:22:12 --> 00:22:16 when they see the change, great change. Your
00:22:16 --> 00:22:19 needle-free mesotherapy uses electroporation
00:22:19 --> 00:22:23 to temporary open cell membranes so that high-performance
00:22:23 --> 00:22:26 actives can enter the dermis. How do you explain
00:22:26 --> 00:22:29 the physics and comfort of this process to clients
00:22:29 --> 00:22:33 accustomed to needle treatments? Right, electroporation
00:22:33 --> 00:22:38 is a virtual needle. This enables me to deliver
00:22:38 --> 00:22:43 ingredients or peptides into the actual cell
00:22:43 --> 00:22:46 to carry out his work within the cell. How does
00:22:46 --> 00:22:50 it do this? It creates like electrical magnetic
00:22:50 --> 00:22:54 pulse. So this opens, travels down into the cell,
00:22:54 --> 00:22:58 opens temporary pores for the ingredients to
00:22:58 --> 00:23:02 be penetrated into the cell in isolation. Once
00:23:02 --> 00:23:05 they come off with the electrode, they actually
00:23:05 --> 00:23:09 closes. So in other words, we're probably delivering
00:23:09 --> 00:23:14 about 80 % or peptides or ingredients or vitamins
00:23:14 --> 00:23:18 and minerals into the atrial cell, where it's
00:23:18 --> 00:23:22 slowly released to carry out its job. Now, when
00:23:22 --> 00:23:26 you use a needle, traditional mesotherapy, we
00:23:26 --> 00:23:29 do tiny sort of like, you know, superficial imprints
00:23:29 --> 00:23:32 into the skin. Once you put the ingredients into
00:23:32 --> 00:23:35 the skin, it actually pushes some of the ingredients
00:23:35 --> 00:23:40 out. So it's better to use electroporation. because
00:23:40 --> 00:23:43 you're getting full ingredients, if you like,
00:23:43 --> 00:23:46 ingredients into the actual skin itself. And
00:23:46 --> 00:23:50 like I say, no needling. There are no side effects.
00:23:50 --> 00:23:54 Clients love it because no one likes really needles
00:23:54 --> 00:23:56 going into the skin because you can cause nerve
00:23:56 --> 00:23:59 damage and scarring. You can actually cause pigmentation
00:23:59 --> 00:24:02 from there as well. So this is just a better,
00:24:03 --> 00:24:07 safer, and the efficacy of the treatment is much
00:24:07 --> 00:24:10 better. I am working with new technology at the
00:24:10 --> 00:24:15 moment with genosomes. Genosomes enables me to
00:24:15 --> 00:24:22 deliver around 82 % of ingredients, non -biological,
00:24:22 --> 00:24:24 by the way, ingredients into the outer skin to
00:24:24 --> 00:24:28 carry out skin rejuvenation, brightening, pigmentation,
00:24:28 --> 00:24:33 and then enables me to make a serum for my client
00:24:33 --> 00:24:38 here live. in the salon where I can mix in a
00:24:38 --> 00:24:42 pre -made serum for them to take home and improve
00:24:42 --> 00:24:44 the efficacy of the treatment. So it's like getting
00:24:44 --> 00:24:46 up from the salon, from the chair, and continue
00:24:46 --> 00:24:49 the facial at home. And this is quite new. So
00:24:49 --> 00:24:52 this is, you've got your polynucleotides that
00:24:52 --> 00:24:57 rely on biological DNA fragments and exosomes.
00:24:57 --> 00:25:01 And genosomes is much safer and it is far more
00:25:01 --> 00:25:03 effective, in my opinion, because I've seen results.
00:25:04 --> 00:25:06 And this is all done by epileptics operation
00:25:06 --> 00:25:09 as well, the virtual needle. So I think this
00:25:09 --> 00:25:13 is the future of skin rejuvenation, a regenerative
00:25:13 --> 00:25:15 medicine. And now we'll take time for a commercial
00:25:15 --> 00:25:20 break. Welcome back. There is an ongoing debate
00:25:20 --> 00:25:24 about photobiomodulation. From an optical physics
00:25:24 --> 00:25:26 perspective, does surface moisture or facial
00:25:26 --> 00:25:30 steam scatter light photons and impair mitochondrial
00:25:30 --> 00:25:33 penetration, or is there an actual benefit to
00:25:33 --> 00:25:37 pairing heat with moisture with LED? This is
00:25:37 --> 00:25:41 a great question. I actually prefer... not have
00:25:41 --> 00:25:45 the skin wet at all, because I think it can penetrate
00:25:45 --> 00:25:47 better, as you said, because we've got the water
00:25:47 --> 00:25:50 on the skin if it's damp, it shatters it even
00:25:50 --> 00:25:52 more. So I don't think you're getting the full
00:25:52 --> 00:25:56 benefit of the photo modulation or the frequency,
00:25:56 --> 00:25:58 because they all have different frequencies.
00:25:58 --> 00:26:04 I prefer to put it onto dry skin. I see greater
00:26:04 --> 00:26:07 benefits from that, definitely. Yeah, well, I've
00:26:07 --> 00:26:10 read it refracts the light. So it doesn't go
00:26:10 --> 00:26:14 at the same angle. Yeah, that's right. It shatters
00:26:14 --> 00:26:17 it. Because light then is kind of reflective,
00:26:18 --> 00:26:21 isn't it, as well. So it's better to do it without
00:26:21 --> 00:26:26 anything on the skin. And I used photo modulation
00:26:26 --> 00:26:32 30 years ago. And I was fascinated of what LED
00:26:32 --> 00:26:34 lights could do then. Because when I was introduced
00:26:34 --> 00:26:38 to it, um it was a swedish doctor who introduced
00:26:38 --> 00:26:40 me to the led lights i just thought they were
00:26:40 --> 00:26:43 christmas lights because when i was training
00:26:43 --> 00:26:46 but um i saw the science i saw what it's done
00:26:46 --> 00:26:51 um i think led lights are amazing because they
00:26:51 --> 00:26:54 carry different messengers in each spectrum there's
00:26:54 --> 00:26:57 a different message for ourselves that recognizes
00:26:57 --> 00:27:00 it down the pathway and carries out its job it's
00:27:00 --> 00:27:04 amazing because orange for instance orange is
00:27:04 --> 00:27:09 amazing in purging the body so your cells i believe
00:27:09 --> 00:27:12 i've been told by the science that turn orange
00:27:12 --> 00:27:16 before you purge so orange is amazing in purging
00:27:16 --> 00:27:18 and then you've got yellow that can actually
00:27:18 --> 00:27:21 work a little bit on pigmentation blue we know
00:27:21 --> 00:27:24 is anti -inflammatory but you still need to be
00:27:24 --> 00:27:26 careful with the blue but especially around the
00:27:26 --> 00:27:29 eye area you've got near infrared which is the
00:27:29 --> 00:27:32 deepest one of all and The most one that's used
00:27:32 --> 00:27:36 is the red light therapy. But again, you still
00:27:36 --> 00:27:39 need to be careful with the lights. It's not
00:27:39 --> 00:27:43 all lights are all not all equal. So it's wise
00:27:43 --> 00:27:46 to do your research, by the way, before actually
00:27:46 --> 00:27:52 buying any light mask at home. Are popular LED
00:27:52 --> 00:27:54 face masks at home worth the investment? And
00:27:54 --> 00:27:57 why do you combine red light therapy with pure
00:27:57 --> 00:28:00 cellular oxygen and topical vitamin C to recharge
00:28:00 --> 00:28:04 cellular voltage? Yeah, so amazing question.
00:28:04 --> 00:28:08 Lights are amazing at home, but again, we need
00:28:08 --> 00:28:12 to, it depends what the frequency you're sending
00:28:12 --> 00:28:14 out, because we have to be careful. We do too
00:28:14 --> 00:28:17 much of the red light or yellow light or blue
00:28:17 --> 00:28:21 light, green light. can cause too much damage.
00:28:21 --> 00:28:24 You're getting too much radiation. So we have
00:28:24 --> 00:28:26 to be very careful which light we actually go
00:28:26 --> 00:28:32 for. So I tend to use professional light therapies
00:28:32 --> 00:28:38 here and I use... photo modulation for all kinds
00:28:38 --> 00:28:42 of skin conditions so you can amplify the light
00:28:42 --> 00:28:45 therapy by the way you said about vitamin c vitamin
00:28:45 --> 00:28:48 c is more of a brightening and also don't forget
00:28:48 --> 00:28:50 if you're using vitamin c with light therapy
00:28:50 --> 00:28:54 it can actually remodel the collagen synthesis
00:28:54 --> 00:28:58 quicker vitamin c is notorious for rapid oxidation
00:28:58 --> 00:29:03 when exposed to air light or water From a formulation
00:29:03 --> 00:29:05 and clinical standpoint, how do you keep vitamin
00:29:05 --> 00:29:09 C stable so skin absorbs active, potent nutrients
00:29:09 --> 00:29:13 rather than an oxidized byproduct? Okay, let's
00:29:13 --> 00:29:17 start here. So vitamin C, there are different
00:29:17 --> 00:29:21 forms of vitamin C. We have freeze -dried vitamin
00:29:21 --> 00:29:25 C. We also have vitamin C that's already stable
00:29:25 --> 00:29:30 in a serum, usually around 7 .5. And also we
00:29:30 --> 00:29:34 have vitamin C in oil. So the question is really,
00:29:34 --> 00:29:37 what form of vitamin C are you actually using
00:29:37 --> 00:29:41 for your skin? You're very correct in saying
00:29:41 --> 00:29:45 it's very unstable. So usually in aesthetics
00:29:45 --> 00:29:48 or the professional market, we tend to use freeze
00:29:48 --> 00:29:53 -dried serum, vitamin C, which would be an ascorbic
00:29:53 --> 00:29:57 acid, which we can activate there and then. Because
00:29:57 --> 00:30:00 as you say, When activated, it can oxidize very
00:30:00 --> 00:30:05 quickly in the light and oxygen and water. So
00:30:05 --> 00:30:08 professionally, I prefer to use a freeze -dried
00:30:08 --> 00:30:12 vitamin C. But also it comes down to the pH balance
00:30:12 --> 00:30:17 as well. To use more of a stable vitamin C, it
00:30:17 --> 00:30:21 has to be 3 .3, the pH. 3 .3 enough underneath
00:30:21 --> 00:30:26 your where healthy skin is 4 .5 to 5 .5 we need
00:30:26 --> 00:30:27 to use something like that so it can actually
00:30:27 --> 00:30:31 penetrate into the actual skin so a lot of people
00:30:31 --> 00:30:34 do put vitamin c on a scale but a lot of people
00:30:34 --> 00:30:37 are very sensitive don't forget it is acidic
00:30:37 --> 00:30:40 you don't want to do too much and you do need
00:30:40 --> 00:30:45 to balance the vitamin c with a botanical or
00:30:45 --> 00:30:49 a hyaluronic acid just to give that balance in
00:30:49 --> 00:30:52 the skin because i notice a lot of people do
00:30:52 --> 00:30:57 but vitamin c it's like a peel so be wise have
00:30:57 --> 00:31:00 a look what vitamin c you're actually using on
00:31:00 --> 00:31:05 your skin thank you for that traditional lasers
00:31:05 --> 00:31:08 use heat to shatter pigment which can risk rebound
00:31:08 --> 00:31:11 darkening and flare -ups how does cold laser
00:31:11 --> 00:31:14 clear surface pigment and redness at a cellular
00:31:14 --> 00:31:19 level without thermal stress This is a good question.
00:31:20 --> 00:31:28 So low level laser is still a non -coherent light.
00:31:29 --> 00:31:32 So that will only treat your skin superficially.
00:31:33 --> 00:31:39 So I don't tend to use that therapy for pigmentation.
00:31:41 --> 00:31:46 I prefer to use the laser, which is a non -ablative
00:31:46 --> 00:31:51 Fraxel. which can create controlled microscopic
00:31:51 --> 00:31:55 zones. So you can control it at the right level
00:31:55 --> 00:32:01 to treat pigmentation or to remodel the collagen.
00:32:01 --> 00:32:07 So lasers as a broad spectrum can treat pigmentation,
00:32:07 --> 00:32:11 but you have to do it mildly, not too aggressively.
00:32:13 --> 00:32:17 LED lights can treat, I believe the yellow and
00:32:17 --> 00:32:20 the green, very superficially can treat pigmentation.
00:32:21 --> 00:32:23 But once again, you're right in what you're saying.
00:32:23 --> 00:32:27 If you do it too aggressively, you can cause
00:32:27 --> 00:32:30 the reverse. You can actually make the skin worse,
00:32:30 --> 00:32:34 more photosensitive. Is that right? Were you
00:32:34 --> 00:32:37 looking for that answer? Because the low level
00:32:37 --> 00:32:44 laser is... I have not known it to treat pigmentation.
00:32:45 --> 00:32:48 Where did you get that from? I haven't done low
00:32:48 --> 00:32:52 level, but I've done the LED. I used the LED
00:32:52 --> 00:32:56 light for three months on myself. No, four months,
00:32:56 --> 00:32:59 actually. And you know what it does? I did it
00:32:59 --> 00:33:02 every day in the summertime, and it even helped
00:33:02 --> 00:33:06 eliminate some of my age spots. If you did it
00:33:06 --> 00:33:10 consistently, and you don't get that with IPL.
00:33:11 --> 00:33:16 it worked it works with the led light for me
00:33:16 --> 00:33:19 i don't know about low level laser but i you
00:33:19 --> 00:33:22 know like the raised spots it actually burned
00:33:22 --> 00:33:28 them off over time uh led lights did that yeah
00:33:28 --> 00:33:33 the green one yeah oh how interesting i did that
00:33:33 --> 00:33:36 for four months and i and i did it over the like
00:33:36 --> 00:33:41 uh this year i tried um green and red mixed together
00:33:41 --> 00:33:43 like i do a little bit of green and a little
00:33:43 --> 00:33:45 bit of red and i didn't see as good results but
00:33:45 --> 00:33:48 doing the green straight every day you know just
00:33:48 --> 00:33:52 for the 10 -15 minutes and it really did make
00:33:52 --> 00:33:54 a difference wow that's really interesting because
00:33:54 --> 00:33:57 the not low level laser because that's slightly
00:33:57 --> 00:34:00 different isn't it yeah it's stronger i just
00:34:00 --> 00:34:04 used the led Ah, okay. Sorry, I thought you were
00:34:04 --> 00:34:07 referring to, okay, low level. Because the LED
00:34:07 --> 00:34:12 lights are amazing. Yellow and green are amazing
00:34:12 --> 00:34:16 in just lightening the skin. But if it's pigmentation,
00:34:16 --> 00:34:19 I tend to go towards more of the Fraxel laser,
00:34:19 --> 00:34:22 but very gently. very very gently i don't do
00:34:22 --> 00:34:26 ipl my thesis was on ipls and i noticed over
00:34:26 --> 00:34:28 time when you like you said you shattered the
00:34:28 --> 00:34:31 pigmentation it made that area a bit more sensitive
00:34:31 --> 00:34:36 photosensitive and could come back worse i i
00:34:36 --> 00:34:40 don't know about that but to be fair we must
00:34:40 --> 00:34:43 consider that you used a specific device that
00:34:43 --> 00:34:46 caused higher photosensitivity in the skin many
00:34:46 --> 00:34:50 factors affect photosensitivity I haven't noticed
00:34:50 --> 00:34:54 any permanent photosensitivity from the IPL technology
00:34:54 --> 00:34:57 that I use. In the short term, though, IPL temporarily
00:34:57 --> 00:35:01 disrupts the skin barrier and breaks down protective
00:35:01 --> 00:35:03 pigment, leaving the untreated area vulnerable
00:35:03 --> 00:35:07 for a couple of weeks. Because of that, I always
00:35:07 --> 00:35:09 advise clients to enforce strict sun protection
00:35:09 --> 00:35:14 while it heals. oh okay yeah lasers is a like
00:35:14 --> 00:35:16 a big topic but we can talk about that because
00:35:16 --> 00:35:19 um i know we haven't got much time but we can
00:35:19 --> 00:35:21 talk about epigenetics with lasers because it's
00:35:21 --> 00:35:26 just been proven it can turn the um the dna epigenetics
00:35:26 --> 00:35:31 can turn the clock back a little bit In signature
00:35:31 --> 00:35:34 treatments like your alchemist facial, your 3D
00:35:34 --> 00:35:38 layer radiofrequency with fascia vibration therapy
00:35:38 --> 00:35:42 and electrical muscle stimulation, EMS, how do
00:35:42 --> 00:35:45 these energy frequencies work together to rebuild
00:35:45 --> 00:35:48 collagen density and realign facial contours
00:35:48 --> 00:35:52 without heat damage? In my signature treatments
00:35:52 --> 00:35:56 I'll use radiofrequency which will remodel the
00:35:56 --> 00:36:00 tissue So it sends off a heat protein response
00:36:00 --> 00:36:03 that will help to trigger and remodel collagen
00:36:03 --> 00:36:07 production. That's in your ECMO. And also then
00:36:07 --> 00:36:11 we will use EMS, which is your electrical muscle
00:36:11 --> 00:36:15 stimulation, because that's also connected to
00:36:15 --> 00:36:19 the fascia as well. So I'd like to use that to
00:36:19 --> 00:36:23 reconstruct and rebuild the muscle. And that
00:36:23 --> 00:36:27 sends off myokins, by the way, which is your
00:36:27 --> 00:36:31 muscle proteins to rebuild your muscle density.
00:36:31 --> 00:36:35 And then I will always follow by electroporation.
00:36:35 --> 00:36:41 So we can treat pigmentation, rejuvenate, and
00:36:41 --> 00:36:46 we can also use peptides to skin thermin, collagen
00:36:46 --> 00:36:50 production, and also... fascia works really important
00:36:50 --> 00:36:54 because we're using mechanical so if we use mechanical
00:36:54 --> 00:36:58 vibration or if we can use our hands because
00:36:58 --> 00:37:02 i believe as well that fascia is when supported
00:37:02 --> 00:37:06 it can actually you see amazing results because
00:37:06 --> 00:37:09 i actually believe fascia can also stimulate
00:37:09 --> 00:37:12 collagen it has to because it's It's just underneath
00:37:12 --> 00:37:16 the subcutaneous level. So fascia work is really
00:37:16 --> 00:37:18 important. We can continue that at home as well.
00:37:18 --> 00:37:21 And now we'll take time for a commercial break.
00:37:22 --> 00:37:25 Welcome back. You also apply electrical muscle
00:37:25 --> 00:37:29 stimulation and bioenergetics to targeted cellulite
00:37:29 --> 00:37:32 reduction, tissue firmness, and scalp rejuvenation.
00:37:32 --> 00:37:35 How do these frequencies restore circulation
00:37:35 --> 00:37:40 and tissue resilience from the inside out? When
00:37:40 --> 00:37:42 we're treating cellulite, there are four different
00:37:42 --> 00:37:45 types. There's four grades. So when I'm looking
00:37:45 --> 00:37:47 at a client, the first thing I'll do is we have
00:37:47 --> 00:37:52 to offer technology that we'll use. We use LED
00:37:52 --> 00:37:56 lights or I use heat because we need to detox
00:37:56 --> 00:37:58 the body first. That's the first thing we do.
00:37:59 --> 00:38:04 And then we can go into muscle stimulation, but
00:38:04 --> 00:38:06 it's not that straightforward. When it's cellulite,
00:38:06 --> 00:38:12 it's about repairing the main skin matrix from
00:38:12 --> 00:38:14 the inside out. So we use different technology,
00:38:15 --> 00:38:18 exactly what I do for the face, but I use it
00:38:18 --> 00:38:21 on the body, but a higher voltage, if you like,
00:38:21 --> 00:38:26 on the body. The most important thing for cellulite
00:38:26 --> 00:38:30 is probably radio frequency. Radio frequency
00:38:30 --> 00:38:34 is working with the lymphatic system. And also
00:38:34 --> 00:38:37 we want to strengthen the whole collagen network
00:38:37 --> 00:38:41 because when your collagen is tighter, we're
00:38:41 --> 00:38:44 actually improving everything else, the appearance
00:38:44 --> 00:38:48 of the skin. So radio frequency is probably just
00:38:48 --> 00:38:51 as important as EMS, by the way, electrical muscle
00:38:51 --> 00:38:56 stimulation. So cellulite is... it's it's a different
00:38:56 --> 00:38:59 level altogether it's your diet it well it's
00:38:59 --> 00:39:02 exactly the same for the face but um i prefer
00:39:02 --> 00:39:04 to use radio frequency because we're actually
00:39:04 --> 00:39:07 getting dispelling any fat cells within the body
00:39:07 --> 00:39:10 and really importantly we're tightening the skin
00:39:10 --> 00:39:13 as well the ecm which is helping to produce the
00:39:13 --> 00:39:17 collagen the collagen production because when
00:39:17 --> 00:39:19 your collagen is broken down that's when you
00:39:19 --> 00:39:22 see lumps and bumps and nodules coming through
00:39:22 --> 00:39:25 the skin which is giving you that steady light
00:39:25 --> 00:39:27 sort of like the orange peel effect on the skin
00:39:27 --> 00:39:31 and so we start there first and then muscle toning
00:39:31 --> 00:39:36 but also what i used to do years ago was body
00:39:36 --> 00:39:41 wraps Body wraps are amazing in dispelling any
00:39:41 --> 00:39:44 toxins in the cell to act like a giant poultice.
00:39:44 --> 00:39:48 I've seen amazing results that like toxins have
00:39:48 --> 00:39:50 been stuck in the tissues. You'd be surprised
00:39:50 --> 00:39:53 as a couple of body wraps what they actually
00:39:53 --> 00:39:55 do to the appearance of the skin. It's actually
00:39:55 --> 00:39:59 flushing everything out. I've seen amazing things.
00:39:59 --> 00:40:03 For instance, ladies will maybe be on medication.
00:40:04 --> 00:40:06 or previously been on medication, when I take
00:40:06 --> 00:40:08 the wrap off, I can smell all that medication.
00:40:09 --> 00:40:13 So it's been stagnant in their cells. So there's
00:40:13 --> 00:40:16 many ways to improve in cellulite, even saunas.
00:40:17 --> 00:40:20 Saunas are absolutely brilliant for detoxing.
00:40:20 --> 00:40:24 Yes, they are. Absolutely amazing. I tell my
00:40:24 --> 00:40:26 clients, the most important thing you can do
00:40:26 --> 00:40:28 for yourself is detox your tissues, and that's
00:40:28 --> 00:40:33 going into the sauna. Yeah, definitely. Lisa,
00:40:33 --> 00:40:35 we can't talk about supporting the skin from
00:40:35 --> 00:40:37 the inside out without addressing internal stress
00:40:37 --> 00:40:40 and nutrition. How do key internal triggers like
00:40:40 --> 00:40:43 cortisol from chronic stress, glycation from
00:40:43 --> 00:40:48 sugar, or gut dysbiosis disrupt the skin's bioenergetic
00:40:48 --> 00:40:51 voltage and microcirculation? What are the biggest
00:40:51 --> 00:40:54 internal drivers of premature skin aging that
00:40:54 --> 00:40:59 topicals alone can't fix? it's what you've just
00:40:59 --> 00:41:03 said so it's the gut health it's the sugar i
00:41:03 --> 00:41:06 think the first thing we need to target is looking
00:41:06 --> 00:41:09 at someone's what they're eating are you the
00:41:09 --> 00:41:12 bad sugars but i believe sugars are probably
00:41:12 --> 00:41:17 the worst in um in the breakdown of collagen
00:41:17 --> 00:41:21 but sugars play havoc within the body especially
00:41:21 --> 00:41:25 your redox signals so i think it's wise If you're
00:41:25 --> 00:41:28 on the journey with an esthetician or a practitioner,
00:41:28 --> 00:41:31 the first thing you want to do is cut out the
00:41:31 --> 00:41:34 sugars because they definitely have a knock -on
00:41:34 --> 00:41:38 effect with just making your skin look dull,
00:41:38 --> 00:41:41 slowing down your energy, and slowing down the
00:41:41 --> 00:41:45 mitochondria, by the way. So everything is energy.
00:41:45 --> 00:41:48 So definitely cutting down the sugars because
00:41:48 --> 00:41:52 they're not nutritional. They're not feeding
00:41:52 --> 00:41:55 your body and they're not creating the right
00:41:55 --> 00:41:58 environment for your body to thrive. Hydrolyzed
00:41:58 --> 00:42:01 collagen powders and topicals are massive global
00:42:01 --> 00:42:05 trends, yet many people see minimal change. Why
00:42:05 --> 00:42:07 does natural collagen production depend so heavily
00:42:07 --> 00:42:11 on gut health, vascular delivery and cellular
00:42:11 --> 00:42:13 voltage rather than just consuming powders or
00:42:13 --> 00:42:18 applying creams? So Collins, this is a great
00:42:18 --> 00:42:22 question because... Collagen. So taking a collagen
00:42:22 --> 00:42:26 supplement, it depends where it comes from. It
00:42:26 --> 00:42:32 depends the source. So if it's bovine, where
00:42:32 --> 00:42:36 is it coming from? Marine, where you're actually
00:42:36 --> 00:42:39 getting that from, the source, is it clean? And
00:42:39 --> 00:42:42 also plant -based, by the way. So you can...
00:42:44 --> 00:42:48 have drinks or plant -based collagen which is
00:42:48 --> 00:42:51 an amino acid first of all you have to when you
00:42:51 --> 00:42:55 digest in any collagen supplement you have to
00:42:55 --> 00:43:00 digest that first if it's fish or bovine they
00:43:00 --> 00:43:03 actually have to turn into amino acid first and
00:43:03 --> 00:43:06 again it depends on your health at the end of
00:43:06 --> 00:43:10 the day but There are some studies to say it
00:43:10 --> 00:43:12 actually is improving gut health. And there are
00:43:12 --> 00:43:15 some studies to say it's improving collagen synthesis.
00:43:15 --> 00:43:17 And there are studies that say no. I think it
00:43:17 --> 00:43:20 depends on you. I have taken it myself and it's
00:43:20 --> 00:43:24 in great results. However, there is a great product
00:43:24 --> 00:43:27 I know at the moment called a plant collagen,
00:43:28 --> 00:43:31 which as soon as you digest it, it is an amino
00:43:31 --> 00:43:35 acid. So your amino acid is your building blocks
00:43:35 --> 00:43:37 for collagen. And this will stimulate collagen
00:43:37 --> 00:43:41 type 3, which will stimulate collagen type 1.
00:43:41 --> 00:43:43 And then you have many other collagen. I mean,
00:43:43 --> 00:43:45 there's up to about 20 different types of collagens,
00:43:45 --> 00:43:48 by the way. We are one blob of collagen, if you
00:43:48 --> 00:43:52 like. I think you've got to try it yourself and
00:43:52 --> 00:43:54 figure out which one is best for you. And also,
00:43:54 --> 00:43:58 please look into where it comes from and whether
00:43:58 --> 00:44:01 it has sugars. If it has sugar in there, then
00:44:01 --> 00:44:03 don't take it because I don't think you can see
00:44:03 --> 00:44:06 a great benefit. from taking certain supplements.
00:44:07 --> 00:44:10 And it's not just collagen, it's vitamin C, there's
00:44:10 --> 00:44:13 copper, there are many other things to consider
00:44:13 --> 00:44:17 if you'd like to improve gut health and your
00:44:17 --> 00:44:19 skin because we have to start from the inside
00:44:19 --> 00:44:24 first. Clean beauty marketing often relies on
00:44:24 --> 00:44:27 ingredient scare tactics and arbitrary banned
00:44:27 --> 00:44:31 lists. How can consumers identify generally high
00:44:31 --> 00:44:34 -performing, non -toxic formulations like your
00:44:34 --> 00:44:36 clean skincare line without falling for fear
00:44:36 --> 00:44:39 -based marketing? Yeah, that's a very good question.
00:44:39 --> 00:44:44 And I believe not all natural products are good
00:44:44 --> 00:44:51 for you and not all technology is toxic. We're
00:44:51 --> 00:44:54 looking into, you can go into the organic products.
00:44:54 --> 00:44:57 I think they're very good for you. But also I
00:44:57 --> 00:45:00 like biotechnology. And I think it's educating
00:45:00 --> 00:45:05 the woman into the right ingredients and the
00:45:05 --> 00:45:08 right technology and using the right ingredients
00:45:08 --> 00:45:11 for her skin. concerns i think education is key
00:45:11 --> 00:45:14 it's not about fearing it's not about stripping
00:45:14 --> 00:45:18 the skin it's not about adding 20 different products
00:45:18 --> 00:45:22 onto the skin it's simple ingredients that work
00:45:22 --> 00:45:26 well for you so i think it's wise to be going
00:45:26 --> 00:45:28 to see a practitioner or a professional just
00:45:28 --> 00:45:31 to give you a little bit of help into using the
00:45:31 --> 00:45:34 right product for you the collagen supplements
00:45:34 --> 00:45:39 is um remember collagen supplements is not It's
00:45:39 --> 00:45:42 not pouring collagen into you, by the way. It's
00:45:42 --> 00:45:47 a process. So when you understand what the process
00:45:47 --> 00:45:50 is in helping your body to produce collagen,
00:45:50 --> 00:45:55 it's not just only in collagen supplements. Copper,
00:45:55 --> 00:46:00 you've got vitamin C, and you've got many other
00:46:00 --> 00:46:04 things, peptides as well, because peptides are
00:46:04 --> 00:46:07 amazing in sending the signal. depending which
00:46:07 --> 00:46:11 one you're using, to signal the collagenesis,
00:46:12 --> 00:46:15 which is producing more of the collagen, and
00:46:15 --> 00:46:19 then elasticity. So I think people, when you
00:46:19 --> 00:46:22 understand biology... in layman terms you understand
00:46:22 --> 00:46:25 what you're actually helping yourself to do and
00:46:25 --> 00:46:27 that's taking the right supplements having the
00:46:27 --> 00:46:31 right treatments having the right skin care also
00:46:31 --> 00:46:33 your circadian rhythm comes into it as well plenty
00:46:33 --> 00:46:37 of sleep it's the whole network it's not in isolation
00:46:37 --> 00:46:40 and i think if we can see skin is not just stretched
00:46:40 --> 00:46:43 on a stretched on your face there's actually
00:46:43 --> 00:46:48 multiple facets to improving skin health it's
00:46:48 --> 00:46:52 not about keep looking younger It's about improving
00:46:52 --> 00:46:56 you, your skin health, and that's just being
00:46:56 --> 00:47:00 healthy from the inside out. You are currently
00:47:00 --> 00:47:03 writing a book on decoding the skin. What are
00:47:03 --> 00:47:05 the three central myths in mainstream aesthetics
00:47:05 --> 00:47:08 that you are most determined to bust for your
00:47:08 --> 00:47:12 readers? That would have to be aggressive treatments,
00:47:12 --> 00:47:16 number one. You don't need to do aggressive treatments
00:47:16 --> 00:47:20 to hit that sweet spot, which is homeosis. which
00:47:20 --> 00:47:24 is enough energy to produce or like a wound healing.
00:47:25 --> 00:47:28 So that's one message I'd like to get across.
00:47:28 --> 00:47:32 And to the delivery system in the actual skincare
00:47:32 --> 00:47:35 itself, I think it's really important that I
00:47:35 --> 00:47:39 talk and educate people on the skincare, what
00:47:39 --> 00:47:41 you should use and what you should really avoid
00:47:41 --> 00:47:49 in skincare. And the other bit is skin is inside.
00:47:50 --> 00:47:54 It's what we do, what we eat, move, emotional.
00:47:54 --> 00:47:59 Skin is emotional. And I think that's why I'd
00:47:59 --> 00:48:02 like to educate people on that skin. It's not
00:48:02 --> 00:48:05 about forcing on the outside. It's what's on
00:48:05 --> 00:48:08 the inside. If a listener wants to start treating
00:48:08 --> 00:48:11 their skin as an interconnected system today,
00:48:11 --> 00:48:14 what are three simple foundational daily changes
00:48:14 --> 00:48:19 they can make to support cellular energy, microcirculation
00:48:19 --> 00:48:23 and lymphatic flow at home? Right, so cellular
00:48:23 --> 00:48:28 energy is probably, it's the copper peptides.
00:48:28 --> 00:48:32 You can take these wonderful copper peptides
00:48:32 --> 00:48:36 that works on your mitochondria. so that is amazing
00:48:36 --> 00:48:40 in energy and also movements and exercise that's
00:48:40 --> 00:48:43 really important and number two is circadian
00:48:43 --> 00:48:47 and going out in early hour in the morning and
00:48:47 --> 00:48:51 i think that's really important that helps to
00:48:51 --> 00:48:54 help to produce the more collagen by the way
00:48:54 --> 00:48:56 i mean a little bit of sun is really good for
00:48:56 --> 00:49:00 you and also plenty of sleep sleep is probably
00:49:00 --> 00:49:03 the most important thing There's a great healer
00:49:03 --> 00:49:08 at night time. And also just eating well, just
00:49:08 --> 00:49:11 eating clean food. You'd be quite surprised.
00:49:11 --> 00:49:17 Eating well, so lots of polyphenols, green vegetables,
00:49:17 --> 00:49:22 meat, organic. It has to be organic. Where can

00:51:06 --> 00:51:10 any medical or dermatological condition. Always
00:51:10 --> 00:51:13 consult a licensed medical professional, board
00:51:13 --> 00:51:17 certified dermatologist, naturopath, or a professionally
00:51:17 --> 00:51:20 trained esthetician before beginning new aesthetic
00:51:20 --> 00:51:23 treatments, altering your skin care regimen,
00:51:23 --> 00:51:27 or making significant lifestyle and dietary changes.
00:51:28 --> 00:51:31 Aesthetic treatments and subjective experiences.
00:51:31 --> 00:51:34 The views, protocols, and clinical philosophies
00:51:34 --> 00:51:38 shared by Lisa Harris. including her stances
00:51:38 --> 00:51:41 on long -term effects of injectables, bioenergetic
00:51:41 --> 00:51:45 therapies, and the rejection of controlled microtrauma
00:51:45 --> 00:51:48 are rooted in her proprietary clinical experience
00:51:48 --> 00:51:51 and may not reflect the consensus of the broader
00:51:51 --> 00:51:56 dermatological community. Observations regarding
00:51:56 --> 00:51:59 specific aesthetics devices such as IDA's personal
00:51:59 --> 00:52:03 experience with green LED or IPL technology are
00:52:03 --> 00:52:07 highly subjective. Device outcomes, healing times,
00:52:07 --> 00:52:10 and barrier reactions vary significantly depending
00:52:10 --> 00:52:14 on the specific machinery used, the operator's
00:52:14 --> 00:52:17 technique, and the individual's unique skin biology.
00:52:18 --> 00:52:20 Listeners should not expect to duplicate these
00:52:20 --> 00:52:24 specific results automatically. Please note that
00:52:24 --> 00:52:27 electroporation, often referred to as needle
00:52:27 --> 00:52:31 -free mesotherapy, is a non -invasive transdermal
00:52:31 --> 00:52:34 delivery method. Unlike injections, it does not
00:52:34 --> 00:52:37 use needles or physically puncture the skin.
00:52:37 --> 00:52:40 Instead, it uses controlled electrical pulses
00:52:40 --> 00:52:44 to temporarily allow product absorption across
00:52:44 --> 00:52:47 the skin barrier. Individual results for non
00:52:47 --> 00:52:50 -invasive therapies such as electroporation,
00:52:50 --> 00:52:55 3D layer radiofrequency LED phototherapy, and
00:52:55 --> 00:52:59 cold laser will naturally vary upon the individual's
00:52:59 --> 00:53:02 physiology, cellular health, and adherence to
00:53:02 --> 00:53:06 sun protection protocols. Regulatory Compliance
00:53:06 --> 00:53:09 and Jurisdiction Please note that Lisa Harris'
00:53:09 --> 00:53:12 clinic is based in England. Therefore, her clinical
00:53:12 --> 00:53:16 practice, cosmetic claims, and product classifications
00:53:16 --> 00:53:20 are governed by UK regulations. These laws differ
00:53:20 --> 00:53:23 from regulations in Canada, Health Canada and
00:53:23 --> 00:53:27 United States FDA and other international jurisdictions.
00:53:28 --> 00:53:31 For example, under UK regulations, topical plant
00:53:31 --> 00:53:35 -derived exosomes can be legally classified and
00:53:35 --> 00:53:40 sold as cosmetics, while human -derived or injectable
00:53:40 --> 00:53:43 exosomes are strictly regulated and generally
00:53:43 --> 00:53:49 lack MHRA authorization for cosmetic use. Conversely,
00:53:49 --> 00:53:52 Health Canada explicitly regulates topical products
00:53:52 --> 00:53:56 containing exosomes, extracellular vesicles,
00:53:56 --> 00:53:59 or cell conditioning media. Products making therapeutic
00:53:59 --> 00:54:03 tissue repair or regenerative structure function
00:54:03 --> 00:54:07 claims or those administered via invasive channels
00:54:07 --> 00:54:12 like microneedling or injections are classified
00:54:12 --> 00:54:15 as regulated biological drugs rather than cosmetics.
00:54:16 --> 00:54:19 To remain cosmetic, topical exosomes products
00:54:19 --> 00:54:23 must stay strictly surface level and non -invasive.
00:54:23 --> 00:54:26 Listeners are encouraged to verify the legal
00:54:26 --> 00:54:28 and regulatory status of specific ingredient
00:54:28 --> 00:54:31 devices and aesthetic procedures within their
00:54:31 --> 00:54:34 own country. And you can view this episode on
00:54:34 --> 00:54:38 many platforms. Thank you, Lisa. Thank you for
